::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: THE MAGE GUILD : Spell : Spell Tap ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: Spell Tap can be cast in two separate ways. Each of these ways taps into the remaining energy of your target. The first method opens a magical siphon to draw spell energy from a living creature, using it to bolster your own stores. This transfer is dangerous and will greatly boost your own saturation as well. You can turn this on so that it attempts to cast every round by using the 'always' directive. You can disable that with the 'never' argument. It will not auto-cast if your saturation is over 75%. The second method opens a magical siphon to a recently deceased corpse, attempting to drain the residual energies from its soul. This method differs significantly from the first in that it adds a lingering benefit to the caster. Specifically, each corpse will increase your SP regen, your saturation regen, and reduce the concentration cost of summons. The more corpses you've stacked the faster these things change. Each corpse will add a blip on your 'tapped' output and also on your hp bar if you're using the $ST element in your HP configuration. A tapped element of ! indicates it will last a while. A * dictates a moderate amount of time and a - means it's about to expire. If you've tapped multiple corpses in one round it will add the identifier at the end of your 'tapped' output and each round move it to the active list of tapped corpses. Furthermore, casting spell tap on a generic corpse identifier will cause it to find one that has not been tapped and use it. It searches your inventory first, and then the ground. If it doesn't find one it will fail. Casting spell tap on a corpse is considerably cheaper than casting it on a living creature, and also has no failure chance since the creature can no longer fight back.
